Murrays Day Six-Seven

On Wednesday, we took the day off to sleep in and take a bit of a break. We went to a museum of East/West Germany, which was located near the former border between E. and W. Germany. We got a 1.5 hour personal tour from the guide. He was VERY excited to see someone from the US. It was very educational. After the musuem, we went shopping to a small mall in Nordhausen an ate a Doner (similar to Greek gyros. They were amazing!

Today,we went on a trek with our host mother's7th graders again. We walked for about 75 minutes uphill to a small town named Walkerried and we toured a monastery. The monastery was Benedictan dating back from the 11th century.

Tonght we had a storm that broke a bit of the heat. During it we went to dinner at a local small family restaurant and had Schnizel with Pommes Frites. Tomorrow we are taking the morning off and the in the evening we will go to dinner at a restaurant up in the mountains named for it being a former fortress. On Sat, we head back to Munsingen.
